All my life I have been scribbling and doodling on paper. Some years ago I started experimenting with acrylic on canvas. Practice, patience, and a few tips from art books and magazines showed me what I could do. I have found horses to be my favorite subjects, but I also enjoy working with any farm- or nature-related subjects. I paint from reference photos that I shoot at county fairs, on walks through the woods, at cattle brandings at the ranch up the road, or in my own backyard. I live north of Fort St. John, British Columbia, on a small farm where farm life, wildlife, and scenery abound. ranch up the road, or in my own backyard.
